DISMISSIVE

***Pangwalong English poem ko na yata ito.
***Ang nagagawa ng pagiging bored. Bow...:)

ME to YOU:

Typical morning:
My day started with my same- old- same- breakfast
Black coffee... and that was it.
I didn't even bother to taste the fried rice
Or have a bite of that sodium enriched scrambled eggs
I just went to the bathroom right after
But it took me three, almost five minutes to pour my first bathwater.
Finally, I was awake...very much.
I put my pants on and tucked my shirt in.
I looked okay... actually more than okay.
I even had my tie on.
I looked clean, smart and polished.
I was almost done, I was about to leave
Only to find out that I would have to bend
To get my shoes under the bed...silly huh?
Then, I travelled for hmmmmm...
One...no, one and a half hours!
Stupid traffic!
Why is it so hard for our officials to get rid of it?
The weather here in the metro is scorching!
‘Think this midmorning
The temperature outside maxed at 30- 34 degrees celcius!
I arrived at the office feeling drab.
I had to perform the same routine
READ, COPY, PRINT.
READ, COPY, PRINT.
READ, COPY, PRINT.
Just like any other working Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Early lunch at about 11:30AM... thank God.
I was starving.
I only had coffee for breakfast. Remember?
I had a full meal, I think I deserved it.
But I had no more time for a power nap.
‘Took me an hour to finish my huge meal.
Back to work at 1PM.
Same thing... READ, COPY, PRINT.
Do you remember my boss?
The one I told you I had an argument with last week?
She’s absent today!
I wonder why? Hmmmm...
I logged out at exactly 5PM.
‘Took the metro train
'Cause I thought it would be faster and cooler.
I was wrong!
I was already in the station when I realized that
It was half past five-- rush hour!
‘Had to push, shove and hustle
Just to get inside that crowded train!
I just got home, I’m so tired.
‘Been missing you a lot.
How’s your day?

YOU to ME:

I’m good.
Thanks for asking.
I’m a bit busy right now.
I’ll get back to you later.
Eat your dinner.
